Lection by Dr.I.Chapman on role of the seminary president

On December 12-13 Moscow Baptist Seminary celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Bible Correspondence Courses of the All-Union Council of Evangelical Christians- Baptists. A jubilee conference was organized to honor those people who participated in foundation of the Russian first Bible school which later became the seminary. Many guests from different parts of the world had arrived to take part in the conference. Among them were president of the Russian Baptist Union Y.Sipko, former presidents of the seminary A.Kozinko and V.Ryaguzov, ex-general secretary of the Baptist World Alliance Dr. D.Lotz, ex-president of the AUC ECB A.Bichkov. There were many alumni and professors of the seminary.
The conference started with a banquette. During the banquette guests shared their testimonies about early history of the seminary. The morning session on Dec., 13 was opened with a speech by Dr.Lotz. After that the superintendent of several southern regions of Russia V.Levashov read a lection “Christian education and church”. Then first presidents of the seminary told about their experiences during their years as president of the seminary. After lunch there were lectures in sections. The conference was closed with a discussion meeting with active participation of the Rev.Y.Sipko and Dr.Lotz.
